A vacancy has arisen within Public Health Wales Informatics for an Analyst/Developer. On offer is a challenging position that will help launch/advance your career in systems development.
The team is seeking a highly motivated individual with a good degree in IT or equivalent numerate subject.
The main duties of the post holder are to develop, maintain and support an existing Case and Incident Management System to manage the infectious disease notifications created by users and laboratories. Plus a new Screening system, which will cover screening programmes within PHW. These are at various stages of development using C#, MVC, JQuery, MS SQL, Bootstrap, DevOps, TFS, Visual Studio 2019.
Other duties will include documentation, testing, development and maintenance of other systems which may involve other languages or technologies such as VB, ASP.Net.
Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The post is based at Public Health Wales' headquarters in central Cardiff. Due to the ongoing pandemic the majority of Informatics staff are currently working remotely. This is likely to continue for the foreseeable future.
Interviews will be conducted via MS Teams.
