NHS WALES HEALTH COLLABORATIVE – NATIONAL ENDOSCOPY PROGRAMME

 SENIOR INFORMATICS AND DATA SPECIALIST

Do you have enthusiasm and passion?

Do you enjoy teamwork?

Do you have extensive experience and knowledge of project management?

Would you like to be involved in an exciting transformational programme, improving endoscopy services across Wales?

Would you like to be involved in quality improvement across several organisations and enhance your management and leadership skills at the same time?

The National Endoscopy Programme has recently been established and is tasked with developing sustainable improvements to endoscopy services in Wales in order to achieve early detection of cancer, optimization of the bowel screening programme and delivery of the Single Cancer Pathway. The Programme is nationally directed by the Welsh Government and overseen by a Programme Board, which is co-chaired by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for NHS Wales and the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Welsh Government. A Programme Management Group and four sub-groups have been established to drive operational change.

The Programme is looking to appoint a Senior Informatics and Data Specialist to work with the Programme Lead and Clinical Leads to drive improvement in all areas of endoscopy services. The post holder will play a crucial role in supporting local informatics teams to develop the ability to receive electronic referrals, view endoscopy reports electronically and to upload data onto the National Endoscopy Database.

The posts have a tenure of 12 months from appointment (likely to be until the end of October 2020).
