LABORATORY INFORMATION NEWTORK CYMRU PROGRAMME (LINC)
THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR THREE YEARS TO SUPPORT THE LINC PROGRAMME
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Validation Manager to develop and implement policies and processes for Computer Systems Validation to ensure the new national Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Service, about to be procured, meets legal requirements.
The post holder will be a member of a newly created national Quality Management Service for Pathology, led by a Quality Manager. The service will establish a national quality management system for Pathology for Wales to support the development of a modern, sustainable Pathology service including standardisation of services. They will be engaged from the outset and able to influence how to take the work forward.
The LINC Programme will run the national Quality Management Service and the post holder will work closely with the LINC programme team including Pathology subject matter experts, service users from NHS Wales Health Boards and Trusts, and NWIS including their informatics assurance team, LIMS application team and LIMS service management team.
The post holder will not necessarily have a Pathology background but will have experience of managing Computer Systems Validation, as assessed by national regulatory bodies including the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
This post is available as a three year fixed term contract or on secondment. Please note that you would require approval from your line manager prior to applying for this post to release you for secondment. The post is available full time but part-time will be considered. The base is River House.
