An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced part time Medical Secretary. The post holder will be required to provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the local clinical team. Planning and supporting the assessment pathway, including processing assessment clinics, typing clinic letters, recording data and creating electronic treatment referrals.

The main duties include audio and copy typing, processing assessment clinic invitations and results, entering clinical data on NBSS system, identification and processing of films, filing of clinical reports and requesting patient information from other health service providers. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of literacy is essential to this role. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required and the post-holder will need to have the ability to liaise with staff at all levels and work effectively and efficiently as part of a team. A working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Database is required.

The ability to communicate verbally with service users in Welsh and English is essential for this post.
